My brothers and sisters, happiness is a choice!

I have learned that the world will give you a million reasons to be unhappy. And if we are not mindful of our thoughts and emotions, those will give us a million MORE reasons to be unhappy and joyless. The choice is truly up to us. What we think, we manifest.

We have to remember that this is Lucifer’s world and he wants us trapped in darkness. Thankfully, our merciful God sent our Messiah, Jesus Christ, to come and release us from that captivity, as says in (Luke 4:18):

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good newsto the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”

And, through His great “mystery” teachings, He does just that! Listen to some of these verses on Jesus’s mystery within the new covenant.

“the mystery that was hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed to His saints, 27 to whom God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.…” (Colossians 1:26, 27)

“This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.” (Ephesians 5:32)

“And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel…” (Ephesians 6:19)

“By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ…” (Ephesians 3:4)

“Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.” (Corinthians 15:51)

“Whoever drinks from my mouth will become as I

am; I myself shall become that person, and the hidden things will be revealed to him.” (Gospel of Thomas, saying 106)

“And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places,

that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.” (Isaiah 45:3)

Jesus taught us, within His mystery teachings, how to be free from the sin that so easily trips us up (Hebrews 12:1), binding us to depressing, anxiety-filled, joyless life. And that is by taking action, both in the mind, the body and the spirit; or in spirit and truth, as our Messiah tells us in John 4:24. This is MORE than just starving yourself from sins. This is truly conquering sin and living a life of freedom and unity. Remember, starvation from sin is not freedom from it.

Now firstly, we must address the physical plane by taking care of our physical body, our temple (1 Corinthians 6:19).  It’s hard to be a joyful servant of Christ when you eat a poor diet and lack proper exercise. Your body will hold you back from your full potential.

Secondly, we must address the MIND. This is critical. Being mindful of our thoughts and emotions and CHANGING them must be met with endurance and discipline. This is taking up our cross on a DAILY basis as said in (Luke 9:23). Notice the word DAILY.

“Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬)

Now, digest some of these verses regarding the mind.

The mind of the wise is a well-ploughed field, Which giveth forth abundance and plenty.” (The Sevenfold Peace)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

“The name of the Lord is a strong watchtower, the righteous run into it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)

Addressing the mind is something we must do every day we are in this world. But have you ever taken a minute to ask yourself where our thoughts and emotions come from? If identifying and changing your thoughts seems impossible, you’re not crazy. Unless you have properly purified your heart, keeping your thoughts and emotions pure will always be a fight. Why? Because it’s not addressing the root cause, which lies in the spirit (your heart).

There is a reason why Jesus emphasized the importance of purifying the heart (James 4:8).

“…Cleanse your hands ye sinners; and purify your hearts…” (James 4:8)

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

We know that whosoever is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one touches him not.” (1 John 5:18)

“As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.” (Proverbs 27:19)

Purifying your heart removes the trauma and darkness from you that you have acquired throughout your life, making the changes you make in the mind not only possible, but LASTING! It’s something you feel in your entire being. If you want to learn about this, please read the book linked here.

Before I properly purified my heart, I would try to address ONLY the mind through mantras and changing my thoughts, and yes, it helped! But, the thoughts and emotions kept coming back. I still felt like a prisoner. It was like I was trying to mountain climb a mountain with uneven rocks.

When I purified my heart, it made identifying and changing my thoughts and emotions possible. It exposed EVERYTHING in my life. I FELT God’s words in Ephesians 5:13: “But everything exposed by the light becomes visible.

So, my brothers and sisters, this is your message of hope! Happiness is a choice. We must take action!

May God give you peace and love,

Taylor
